I never liked oatmeal porridge. Just until I discovered this absolutely stunning breakfast porridge! Not only it is packed with healthy things, but it is so good, that you will want it every day. :-)

The best breakfast porridge

Ingredients:Serves: 2

approx. 1 cup wholemeal spelt oats

150 ml milk

handful of raisins

1 tbsp honey

1/2 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp almond butter

1 tsp cinnamon

slices of apples

seeds and almonds for decoration



Preparation
Steps: 4

1.

Put the oats and raisins into a pot and pour over with 1 cup of hot water.  Let it sit for a few minutes, until the oats soak up all the water and soften. I wiil be easier to cook. 

2.

Add milk to the oats. It is up to you whether you use cow full fat milk or some vegetable milk. Use whichever you like. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the porridge thickens.

3.

Take off the heat and just flavour. Just stir in almond butter, honey, coconut oil and cinnamon and you are all done.

4.

Decorate with apple slices, hulled hemp seeds and almonds. Serve warm or at room temperature.

The quantity of ingredients depends on you and your stomach. I use this amount when I prepare breakfast for my daughter and myself. And sometimes just for myself.  :-P
